Well, while we’re dreaming…
When I was a little girl, Papa and Mama took us girls to a performance of the Grand Old Opry. I can’t tell you who performed that night but I can assure you the experience marked me for life.
My dream job is more a dream gig. If I could tell a few stories on the stage of the Grand Old Opry one time, just once, I really think it would be enough. In the tradition of the late great Minnie Pearl, I would just be so proud to be there! Not to mention a tad slap-happy.
Please forgive me today’s brief post, as well as the sad attempt at a quick photo shop! I’m on the road again to Tyler, Texas to speak at Cowgirl Convention. It’s not the Opry but I’m not complaining! This belle is geared up for one awesome weekend. I’ll get to tell a stack of stories and speak of the great love of Christ in one fell swoop. Pinch me. I must be dreaming!

Shellie, The Opry would be lucky to have you on that stage. You are SO rip-roaring hilarious to hear live. I was crying from laughing to hard at your stories last week at the Pulpwood Queens Girlfriends Weekend. Your books are funny, but everyone should be treated to hearing you live at least once. Nothing quite like it. You’re like a cross between Dolly Parton and Ellen DeGeneres. The perfect blend! Have fun in cowgirl country. Best,julie
