What did I do with my summer, you ask? Sigh. I suppose that means it’s official. I’d heard the rumor that summer had come and gone but up until now I had been successfully ignoring it.
My summer had way more work in it that I would have preferred, but as the other belles have testified the show– or the book writing in our case– it must go on if our publishers are still going to let us be a part of this big wonderful industry.
I did not make a trip to the beach this entire summer. I did see pictures of the beach every single time I opened my Facebook feed, and I tried to be happy, happy, happy for everyone posting them, but as far as parking my toes in sand goes, the closest I came was playing in the sand box with the All Things Southern Grand Czars. Let the record show, if it came down to an either/or situation, I’d choose those Grand Czars every single time.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, you might want to brace yourself or surf on your merry way. By way of recap, I’ve decided to offer you pics from the last couple months of my Instagram feed– without comment. It’s a pretty good sampling of what went on around here. And since this the epitome of making someone watch your home movies, I offer you this encouraging note: I did show some restraint, believe it or not. There were more. Oh, and should you be a glutton for punishment and you actually want to see these images larger, (God love you!), just hold down your control button and hit the + sign a couple times. Voila!
