Happy Monday everyone! I hope your Fourth of July week is starting out wonderfully well. Here on the porch at BelleView, we are ramping up for a weeklong Independence Day celebration. We’ve hung up the flag, rolled out the red white and blue swags, dusted off the spare lawn chairs, and dragged the ladder from the storage shed so that, when it’s time, the kids can climb up onto the roof to watch the fireworks in town.
Wherever this Fourth of July finds you, I hope it finds your heart turning to all things patriotic. Next to singing along with the National Anthem surrounded by thousands of fans at a Rangers game, one of my favorite Fourth of July week activities is taking the time to watch a few movies that remind me of the sacrifices of our forefathers. These stories never fail to make make me glad to be an American.
So, in honor of that age-old tradition, I thought I would share with you links to some of the best scenes in my top three favorite patriotic movies:
I hope you will enjoy these along with some of your favorites this Fourth of July and that like me, you’ll be overwhelmed with the wonder of this grand experiment that is America the Beautiful.
Blessings to you and yours,
