It started in April. I’ll recap. I promise, you won’t be bored.
April 25th, head off to My Book Therapy staff retreat in Savannah.
Home for two days.
May 1st, fly to Kansas City for RT Awards. The Wedding Dress won Inspirational Novel of the Year.
Spend a few days with friends cause you can’t go all that way and not see them. Return home Mat 7.
Home two whole days, leave on May 11th for Tennessee. Grandma turned 99.
Lots of family. Kids from 1 to 92. Lots of screaming, yelling, laughing…
Yeah, you get the picture.
Meanwhile… edits for Princess Ever After arrived. The day before I leave for this three week jaunt.
It’s hanging over my head. Can’t get to them until the 18th.
May 18th, start marathon rewrite.
For me a rewrite is to really improve the book, raise the bar. I’m not about just making edits and changes here and there. I REWRITE the book. Add, delete, layer, polish.
Butt in chair 8 – 12 hours a day for five weeks.
Got sick with something. Had to go to Doctor for antibiotics.
Dog gets very sick. Spends three nights in doggy hospital. Thousands of $$$ she comes home to recover from a kidney stone brought on by dehydration brought on by e coli.
Oh, she was a sad looking puppy…
But back to deadline.
Turn in book June 18th.
House guests arrive on the 19th for a worship weekend at church.
I leave on the 21st for the International Christian Retail Show in St. Louis to host the first ever prayer room and sign a few copies of Once Upon A Prince.
Return home lat on the 24th to LINE edits of Princess Ever After.
Last chance to really fix and polish.

Leave on the 12th for a wedding in DC! Swoon.
Home on the 14th.
Leave on the 17th for Romance Writers of America conference in Atlanta. The Wedding Dress was up for the RITA. Did not win.
Home on the 21st. One of our “daughters” from youth church arrived with a friend while I was gone. Stayed to the 26th.
Hubby’s brother and his family arrive on the 25th for an overnight stay.
Last chance to read line edits one more time for Princess Ever After arrive.
Leave at noon on the 26th to drive to Daytona for a Novel Writers Beach Retreat Weekend. Teaching.
Home on the 28th.
Read Princess Ever After line edits one last time. Turn in.
August 5. Start brides novella due September 1.
Guest arrive on the 7th.
Fast drafting novella. Know the characters but not the story.
Guest leave on the 14th.
Bearing down on September 1st deadline.
Leave on the 10th for Indianapolis and the ACFW conference.
Galley’s of Princess Ever After arrived. Due the 18th.
Next novel in the Royal Wedding Series due sometime in January.
Yeah… that’s my summer. Crazy busy but sooooo very full of hope and life and love!
