Destin, Florida June 2008 451This week, our family is enjoying a long-awaited week at the beach. We’ve come full circle from last year, when I blogged in complete despair from the shores of Florida’s Emerald Coast, trying with all I had in me to cling to my faith.

Thankfully, after a year of prayer, forgiveness, and a hard road of healing, the tides have turned. So, I write this week with a  message of hope for all of you who are feeling hopeless today. Hold on. Keep moving through your journey. Your path will become easier and your faith will see you through.

Here’s to you and your courageous, brave hearts! This life, yep…this one you’ve been given…it’s worth sticking around for. Trust me.

Much love.

Hi Julie! I hope you are enjoying that well-earned time by the sea. Treasure these family vacations with growing teenagers. I’ve learned that those days pass, too 😉

I hope you have a fabulous week at the beach. The ocean has such healing powers, don’t you think. I have had a hard year and a half, too. My faith was tested and stretched to the breaking point sometimes. But, praise the Good Lord, He never let me go and I clung to Him with all my might!! Things are getting better now, and I praise Him for that. It truly amazes me that God loves us so much!!
    Feeling very blessed!!

It’s so heartening to know that you’ve weathered the storm, Julie. We have things going on in my family that require me to choose trust instead of anxiety over and over and over again. Did I mention I’m having to choose it more than once? Yeah…pretty much constantly. Enjoy that downtime!

Precious Julie, ” When the storms of life are raising, stand by me.” That is exactly what you did! Through the good and the bad and the happy and the sad of this past year, you never gave up. You continued to move forward one step at a time, sometimes even one crawl at a time and with God’s help you came through it. I am so thrilled that you are in a wonderful place in your life….that is as it should be. Have a wonderful vacation, soak the beauty that God has bestowed upon us. Enjoy! Mel

Thanks for this word today. My dad is very ill and has been for four years. My mom is trying to care for him and sell their house of 30 years. I am my teen daughter’s least favorite person right now and I am overwhelmed by my work. So yours is a very timely word. :)

You. Are. Wonderful. So many people are just barely hanging on. They are overwhelmed, exhausted, hopeless. Thank you for sharing. Your words touch hearts.
